Engine, cleaned up and painted

Original plan was to keep the block blue, and polish that nice aluminum valve cover to a shiny finish.

After a deep scrubbing with multiple chemicals, and a rinse of rubbing alcohol AND After taking the buffer to it for a good 5 mins with mothers polish i couldn't get the damn thing to shine, oh well Plan B.

Black on Black

Dupli color engine enamel + VHT Crinkle for the valve cover, the valve cover is till glossy here because i took the picture right after i took the tape off.

Used the oil filter to "tape off" the oil filter threads.. it'll get replaced anyways come first time start up.

Painted the exhaust manifold too, it was rust colored.

Running spark plug wires should be an art form.

More plug wires, also check out the wrinkle effect starting to take shape.

I think when its dry i am going to sand down the "NISSAN OHC" and the two lines running along the valve cover for contrast, i'll be able to polish those up easily i think.

Attempted to put the intake manifold on, but i fucking hit the almost dry valve cover and messed up the paint.. had to do an emergency respray and hope for the best in the effected area, Good thing this stuff drys wrinkled or i would be fucked.

It'll take a few coats to fix it, but it should turn out just fine. (not pictured)
